Where is the temp sensor?

Where is the temp sensor?

As ive said before ive always been a chevy guy so looking for this sensor has me lost for some reason ( ive probobly looked right at it already and didnt realize it ) anyway my temp guage dosent move in my truck so i was going to check to see if my plug may be caroded (SP) but i cant find the sensor. on a chevy their on the side of the block, but i didnt see it there. can someone tell me where it is on a 79 460?

I belive on the front of the engine behind the alt (ps top of engine), beside the water pump

It is actually right behind the dist.
It's really called: a Sending Unit

I got a question, where would the oil pressure sender be on a 460?

To add to the above pic, that's in the rear center on the intake, hard to see with the air cleaner on and a totall bitch to remove, had to cut a 9/16 wrench to change mine on the road once.

Nice pics by the way Mi1ion, that's really helping a guy out.

Thanks Mi1ion! My motor doesn't have an oil pressure sender on it. I'm going to put in a mechanical gauge anyway.
