Brake light problems
Ok, so I have some screwy tail lights right now. When my running lights are off the both brake lights work and both turn signals work but the passenger side is dimmer than the driver side. When the running lights are on the passenger side tail light is always lit up like the brakes are on an that turn signal won't work. The driver side works just fine with the running lights on. My mechanic was even puzzled with this. He said it was th signal switch but is there anything else I could check before replacing the signal switch? Any ideas????

Most likely the signal switch. Been there done that. Best to buy the Ford replacement instead of cheaper aftermarket. The aftermarket ones make noise and do not install the same. Custom modification are required with aftermarket and they seem to break the turn signal cancellation tabs soon after. Been there done that..... Good luck. It's not much fun just take your time rewiring it all. You'll of course need steering wheel puller and a good soldering gun, plus some shrink tubing to do it right imo.

Very well could be a ground problem.
When I bought by truck someone had hooked in some trailer lights and messed everything up. I had to take it all out.
Keep in mind not everybody who worked on your truck before was a real mekenic.
