It pains me to say this but I had a little bit of a run in with a telephone pole last week and wound up with a ruined bumper, tow hitch, grill, radiator, plus a bit of plastic on the front. I have located all the parts I will need to get her back to normal but I can't figure out how to get the headlights off so that I can replace the plastic (header panel) behind them. The bolts I need to undo to get the header panel are behind the headlights but the headlights are proving difficult to get out. Anyone know how to get this done... I need my truck ASAP. Thanks!!!
sorry i cant realy help you but i figured id tell you that your not the only one, i did the same thing about a month ago knocked the poll over, i havent yet repaired anything other than pulling the bumper back out so the tire wouldent rub
might make you feel better to know your not the only one...lol,
The way i do it is first remove your batteries. This makes it a lot easier to take off the nuts holding the headlights on. Almost impossible without taking out the batts.
I removed mine and replaced the fogged up headlights without removing the batteries. I used a 1/4 in. drive ratchet and I think a 10 MM socket. Bought the new headlights on line, they cost $34 each for the clear headlight assembly. including a H-bulbs. Looks great!
