On the surface, this is a steal. I am looking to buy a similar truck but cant find a decent one under 4 grand. Therein lies the problem. You rarely findone cheap. Check the block, the frame, spring shackles, etc. Hear how it runs. The usual. The body may be puttied up as well, as for some reason Fords tend to rust out. If everything is fine, then go for it. The lift and the tires are probably worth a good chunk if not all of the price of the truck. The 390 is a great motor with even greater potential. A buddy of mine has a 73 with the 390 and he can outdrag my other buddy's 69 Camaro!

Depends on how bad you want is. I paid twelve for my 774X4 and put that much into it in a year and still have more to go but I like that truck. And it's a mountain truck so it has lots of rust.
