no fuel
My Father-in-law is looking at buying a 92' F-150 , but it won't start--no fuel at reg. or filter. Pump turns on with key for 1 sec then shuts off. He put in a new pump( same problem), new fliter, and regulator-- still no fuel and pump only runs for 1 second. Any ideas??

Did this era a truck have only in tank pumps? or external pumps too?
I am not sure when Ford switched to the intank only pumps.
Which pump was replaced?

Could be something as simple as the fuel pump or EEC relay(s), they are located under the plastic cover next to the air filter housing. Originally from Ford the EEC was brown and black, the fuel was green and black, also check the connectors for corrosion.
