backpressure selenoid
All....I wanted an exhaust brake for my 01 7.3 for when i tow my 33' fifth wheel camper. When my mech. installed the switch on the dash and hooked up the wires to the exhaust flapper or whatever it's called, he discovered that the selenoid wasn't working. He said the flapper is supposed to shut when the engine is cold to help with warm-up. The dealer wants 265.00 for a new one!!! I was wondering if anyone out there has one on a junk motor or where i can find one cheaper?? Thanks, Jeff
