I have an 86 460 cal smog F-350 4x4. Carb is holley 4180. The aircleaner has two (2) vacume doors. the one in the chute which routes warm air from the exhaust manifold. I have found aftermarket vacuum motors for that device. However, on the side back of the air cleaner is another vacuum door approx 1 1/2" x 8". The vacuum operator has a bracket attaching it to the outside of the air cleaner, which is surrounded by a plastic shroud. The device does show on the emissions info in the engine bay. The emissions info says A/CL / DV ( I assume air cleaner diverter valve. ) i have looked at many, many sites on line and find no reference to the back unit. Any ideas or suggestions?
So where do we go with this?
I ended up removing the actuator with the associated 'flap' and cross brace, then put foil tape over the hole from the inside for the winter.
I want to get it fixed but don't see ANY markings on what I have removed.
