Hi all, for starters, I apologize for bringing up another exhaust thread as I know there have been many in the past, but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for in a search here.
Need to replace my muffler and was going to upgrade with a cat-back system. Think I've got it down to either a Gibson or a Flowmaster Force II.
Any input on which to go with? I just turned 108,000 miles if that helps.
I prefer the sound of the gibson, much throatier and less tinny. Flowmaster mufflers are on everything any more and they sound tinny to me. I have Gibson's single out now, however if I had the cash, I would put on a corsa system. I got to ride in Corsa's Dodge demo truck and the sound it made grew on me quickly.
I agree, I had a flowmaster and didn't like it because of the tinny sound, like a suped-up rice burner. Gibson is a better sound IMO. If you got the money get a Borla stainless steel. They are one of the best, but are about $550 for the cat back exhaust. Lifetime warrenty though.
I have the Gibson Stainless Steel exhaust on my 2005 Super Duty V10 and I really like the tone.

I'm also looking at the Gibson but they won't claim if it will fit the 2008 v10 or not. I would think the piping would be the same but no one seems to know, not even Gibson.
I have an 06 F350 V10 supercab long bed as well as an08 F350 crew cab long bed V10,exhausts are different, took measurements, since the 06 07 gibsons were the same listing,I like the gibson hands down,I e mailed gibson, said they didn't build one yet for the gas motors,I just ordered the Flowmaster part number 17446 from jegs it's suposed to fit the 08 V10 gas motor,as far as I know the are the only listed at this time.
