If it is the original 4180 series Holley, the mixture screws are in the front of the bacse plate and the plugs must ne drilled out to access them.

The only way you can drill out the plugs on a 4180 is with a carbide or diamond drill. They are hardened. At least those on my 86 F250 4x4 were. You have to remove the carb and carefully remove the aluminum at the base then pry them out.

Well, just got back from working on it (to dark to see). I found the mixture screw for the primary and it was way to rich. It was like 4 or 5 turns till it even started to sputter. So I got that all adjusted (I think but havent got chance to drive it on the road yet) and it doesnt smell near as rich as it did. I still cant figure out how to get the idle down. Is there an idle speed screw any where?
