I found out why my EGR was not working. it was not getting any vacuum due to the broken diaphrams in the amplifier.
I bought a new one from The dealer for the Tune of $200. hooked it up per the manual from FTE and it does not send any vacuum to the EGR. If I hook up a manual vacuum pump and pump it up I can feel vacume on the other side of the amp, and I see the guage bleed down slowly.
But it is not feeding the vacume thru the amp. I have around 18 in HG @ idle going to the amp. All brand new lines.
I think the vacume going to the egr comes out of a temp switch that is open when the engine is cool and closes down when the engine is hot. Are you coming streight off the manifold? If you do the egr would be open all the time. This is all guess work. Does anyone else know more?
