wont run 351M
iv got a 79 F-150 4x4 with a 351M. it will start right up but as i let go of the key it stalls. iv replaced the starter solenoid with one i know works from my 78 F-100.I also replaced the voltage regulater and ingnition box from my 79 F-250. the f250 didnt have a moter in it when i got it so i dont know if these parts work. any sujestions thanks

If the first reading is low or zero, then you have an open resistor wire. The reason it starts is that 'open' circuit is bypassed when starting.
