2bbl to 4bbl
How would you change the teh 2bbl carb on the Modifed to a 4bbl? What 4bbl intake would fit on these motors? TIA

I would suggest the Edelbrock Performer 400, which also fits the 351M. I am partial to the Edelbrock carbs, but a Holley would work as well. A 600 CFM carb should be sufficient but note that you will need to have it jetted and adjusted. Plan on an open style air cleaner with a K&N filter. Also - since you are making it inhale better, plan on allowing it to exhale better - with at least dual exhaust and non-restrictive mufflers - and possibly headers. A cam always helps, and then....

Ran the Eldy performer(dual plane), worked ok for me. This is a 4V manifold. You can get an adapter to run your existing 2V for a while if need be (depending on funding-never seems to be enough!). I'm sure there is a few others such as Offy and Weiand to name two.

They make a Non-EGR 4-bbl intake for M-blocks, as well as adaptor plates so any 351C intake will fit on a M-block. I think I'm going to switch from my current Performer (non-EGR, they make a EGR version)/Performer 600 intake/carb combo to a Weiand 8010 (I have heard them called both the Action Plus and the Stealth, so I don't know which on it actually is)/Speed Demon 650 or 750 combo.
