Hi everyone,
Have broke the front valence on my 2001 ranger Edge this winter. Cost over $775 at my local ford dealer, so want to buy one on Ebay. Found two items from D&H auto parts, one for 01-03 XL or XLT model and one for 01-03 FX4 model. Can someone tell me wich one fit on my truck ?
Thank's a lot for all
Is your valance anything special?....special color or something. The reason I ask is because mine is getting replaced by the dealer tomorrow on an insurance claim (I got rear-ended then pushed into the backend of a car and it cracked the valance) and the line item for the front valence is shown as a $71 expense. Mine is grey. I know they are using a aftermarket parts supplier for this and I can ask who the supplier is if you want when I take it there tomorrow (Tuesday).
For your e-Bay choices, the FX4 version may include the openings for the fog lamps.
Hi,
My truck is a EDGE model and the color is yellow, the OEM piece from my local ford dealer is ready to put (color match to the truck). The two valences found on Ebay is grey, and both piece have the opening for the fog lamps. The XL or XLT model cost $35 US and $60 for the FX4 model ?!?! Tell me where they take it when you know it.
Thank's a lot

It sounds like the ones on ebay are like the one I am getting....gray. Yours is custom colored to match your truck....that was the sporty feature for the Edge model. Your valance likely could be plastic molded with the color all the way through and thus why it is so costly. I expect that if you painted a gray one the paint would eventually flake off.
Naw, the colour isn't moulded in, otherwise you'd see it in a crack, or even on the back side. It's the same as the FX4, only it's painted to match the body colour.
