how heavy?

I am building a 79 f150 2wd,into a fast street truck. Does anyone know what these trucks weigh? it is a standard cab with an 8 foot bed and a 302 c6 auto for now. I am putting glass doors on it,and when i find fenders and a hood those will go on also.

My stock truck without anything in the bed is 5200#'s give or take alittle for gas in tank and whatever it was I had in the cab that day. This was with the 77 F-100 w/302/C4 automatic. Hope this helps

My '79 F150 has a 351M/C6 with an A/C cab and a solid body and weighs ~4,200 lbs.

Mine sounds like a very close match to yours. It's a '79 F150 302/C6 2WD with an 8 foot bed. It weighed in at 4,180lbs.

Mine had A/C too, but dang I wonder why it was 1000# more than yalls? It was 2 wheel drive standard cab single fuel tank truck
