e4od swap

Ok so i have an 85 f250 hd with a 351 windsor and a c6 which wont pull half what my 400,000 mile 6.9 non turbo will so i have built a 460 W/DOVE-C 365 hp heads an offy intake a good torque cam and full lenth headers ,my question is how do i get an E4OD trans to work with a carbureted 460 .I dont want another c6 because i have a 4.10 rear gear and at hwy speed the 351 is rapped out as is and an AOD does not fit a big block . I have been told to get the harness and controller from an 87 to 91 diesel which seems feasible except for the TPS located on the injection pump ,I do not know what to do about that which is the problem anyone that can help with this is appriciated so long as it doesent involve a$600.00 gear vendors O/D box or installing a 2,88 or some other ridiculous rear end .Im not againt going with factory EFI but Idont think the EFI manifold works with the DOVE-C heads so i need help with ideas on the tps or a 7.3 and its E4OD for a diesel conversion as my 84 F350 with 6.9 got an E4OD when the C6 FINALLY gave out at 366,000 miles so im convinced it can be done with a carbureted 460

It is a bit pricy but it will let you control the parameters and you could have
total control of shift points, engagement and Tc lockup.
If you knew a programmer and you kept a laptop in the vehicle you could have
a control box made up and the laptop would control the program. Basically taking
the software out of a stock pcm and storing it in the laptop and then driving the
trans control box with either the stock parameter or have your programmer make
you new ones based off the stock one. Really not that hard of a thing to do
and picking up a cheap lap top from ebay like the Toshiba satellite laptop I found
in the trash and am planning on doing a similar setup with my bronco when I
get a new truck, I will basically run it off the laptop. I had to open up the lap top
and solder in a lighter plug to the board to power it since the battery was dead
and it didn't have the charge cord it runs off 15volts and but does fine on the 12v
when not running (the plug was a giant connector I didn't have so that's why I just
soldered to the board)

Even taking an AOD and upgrading the internals to the new inproved parts from
the electric modern trannies is a viable alternative and would be cheaper and alot
easier. As long as you kept it cool and had a trans temp gauge the upgraded aod
can be a performer. Keeping the fluid fresh and cool is the key and a wide ratio
gear set would be a better choice if your motor could handle the rpms increase .http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/...sion_s/248.htm
