timing on 400

i rebuilt 351m , used a 400 crank, the timing on hood decal for the 351m set at 6 deg. adv. w/ auto trans....just wondering if 400 had same timing on factory decal as the 351m

I set my 400 the same as the 351m. Runs just fine. Rob

timing on 400

If you do alot of towing, you might try bumping it up to 8-10 deg. timing. This will help take advantage of the added torque from the longer stroke.
