I finally got around to getting the 97 F150 back on the road. The failure that sidelined the truck was nothing more than a fuel pump. To answer the (I'm sure that is going to be asked) question of what took me so long, I simply didn't have the time to mess with the truck before now. Of course, the day that I got the truck back on the road, I got a rude reminder of why I pretty much quit driving it in the first place - $85.86 to fill the gas tank from near empty.
I have a trip to take, that requires the use of this truck. Once I'm back home, it will be going up for sale. I'll miss this truck, but my tinly little Japanese kei class minitruck does 99% of the job I need, and gets double the mileage.
I understand you brother. My ford 4x4 sucks up a ton of gas and doesn't look like oil is going down anytime soon. Have a safe trip and I am sure you will have no problem selling your 97.
