Post "Lexus Tag Light Mod"

I'm calling this the "Lexus Tag Light Mod" cause I saw it on the new Lexus

Anyway, its quite simple. You know how the Lexus' have the nice white LED license plate lights instead of the usual dim filament ones? Well
, I bought a couple of 194's off of ebay and popped em on.

The ones I bought were either not very bright or the Lexus has some sort of higher intensity bulb or some sort of amplifier deal???? (totally ignorant assumption)

And there you have it. A nice cool white light illuminating the license plate. It looks especially nice on a black on black truck I think.

Have fun

(What you're looking for is a 194 bulb)

That's a GREAT idea!

The cops can see my license plate number from 500 feet away!

Woo hoo!!!

In some places its the Driver's responsibility to keep those lights working (correctly) and or keeping your tag visible during driving times.

You may want to search that mod... there was few users that have tried it/done it already. Iirc, some went onto e-bay to get the "ultra-white" LED bulbs and replacement sockets.

As a retired LEO don't give them any reason to pull you over.
