steering column
I got me a new column in my truck. I had problems with my old one I went to the junk yard and found a good one in a 1980 or 1981 f-160 with a gas engine. Beings mine is diesel I didnt think it would work IE the glow plugs but it does. The question I have is about the ignition key switch. The old one had the little hole where you could poke a small screwdriver in to remove it, but the new one I got in dont have that. The column reminds me of those in the 73-79 era because it has the steering wheel from then, So how do you change the key switch? and can I use the one out of the origional column in the column I have now?
