rear end fluids- help

I'm working on a rear axel i got from the junky, its good, but I gotta change out the fluid on it, Its a limited slip 4:10 and I hear that there is a conditioner I have to add with the gear oil,-anyone know what that is?- or how much is to be added? also anyone have the fluid capacity for a 10 bolt LS?

according to haynes-80-96- 5.5 pints .all capacities are app. add as needed to fill level-and most better rear end fluids have the ls additive-just check the bottles
