fuel filter help
Hey you guys,
How do I get this filter off? I've got a 5/16th gas line, I'm on the frame, removed the clips, but pull as I might,,,,it,,the filter, won't come loose.....
On page 4-33 of the Haynes, book 880, it shows clips and filter but there's no explanation....Is there a trick??? to getting this off.

I don't know about any clips ???..............
But on my 94 the filter itself snaps into a clamp type mount mounted on the rail near the front of the midship tank.
The lines themselves require a removal tool which is available at most auto stores pretty cheap. I recommend the metal scissor type one that is 1/4 on one end and 5/16 on the other, because those are the two sizes needed for the fuel pumps also.
