I hada question and was wondering if anybody could help me with it? I have a 1979 4x4 F-250 Extended cab long bed that I am restoring and It is down to the bare frame now but I need to know how much a truck like this weighs. I am putting a triangulated four bar suspension in the rear and a four bar suspension in the front with coil oversall theway around. I am at the point where I need the coil overs but the coil over people need the weight of the truck. The truck has a 460 motor and the divorced NP 205 transfer case with a four speed, if any of that matters. Thanks alot forany help.
you will be alittle over 6,000 depending on motor, axles, bumpers, how muck junk is in the bed, etc, etc. i put my truck on a DOT scale the other day and it was just under 6,000- its a '78 f250 regular cab, 400 motor, 435 trans, D60 front, D70 rear, 205 married case, a spare 205 case in the bed and a spare tire also
