speedo gear change?
hey guys,I have a 90 full size bronco I put a 5 spd out of a 90 f150 I'm runing 4.10 gears with 35.12.5 tires can I get or change the speedo gear to match this ratio, I dont want to get any tickets

When I changed tire sizes in my F150, I went to a local transmission parts supplier here and talked to one of the guys. he helped me choose the right driven gear for my tire size/ gear ratio. The local transmission shops wouldn't help me out as I told them all I needed was the proper gear so I could install it myself. I found the national chain store tranny shops to be the least helpful for a DIYer.

Your speeds should be cable drive off either the tranny or transfer case, when you pull the cable off at the tranny it will have a colored drive gear on the end, these come in various different colors representing tooth counts, pick the one that matches your combo the best, this link shopuld help you figure it out. http://zenseeker.net/4x4/Speedo.htm
