i do have a banks six gun with the pda and a aem brute force air intake . guess the exhaust is next any good ideas? wich is best and should it be from the turbo back or cat back?
I'd go with turbo back and ditch the cat but hold onto it so it can be reinstalled if you get poped for smog. Wouldn't be a problem here you'd have to be a retard to fail smog pull on the dyno roll up to 40 real easy and your done took my truck 41 hp to spin my auto and 35" tires to 40 so if your trucks blowing smoke you got problems.
anyone know any tricks for more mpg. i have a 05 sd diesel and only get 15 on the highway. my bud just bought a dually gmc and is getting 28 hwy? what gives?
The only way he gets 28 mpg is if he spends time on the hook of a tow truck and the tow truck is a ford getting a realistic 10 mpg. Your buddies nose is going to give you splinters if you believe that crap.
My 88 Mazda B2200 with a 4cyl + 5 spd can't even get 28 MPG.
The only way to get better MPG is using a light throttle pedal - Eggs under the pedal thing - More performance parts tends to make me use them more often, there goes MPG, so I suggest no mods. They just don't seem to work - for me anyways.
I know a man who just bought a DuraMaxx after Ford bought his 6.4 back, he said it gets a lot better than the 6.4 ever thought about, but 28? Was he coming off the continental divide with the key off?

how did he get ford to buy his truck back and did he buy the exact rig again in chevy? Apples to apples?
i think 28 is far fetched, really far fetched, my dads cummins averaged 23 on the way from lubbock to montana, that was on the flats, with no wind, no load and it has a camper too. I know it aint a ford, but you cant ask for much better than that with wind resistance and best place for actual fuel mileage, and that was caluclated by gas used over how many miles, not the little thingy inside that says how far you might go on a gallon of gas. It got 11 on the way back, fully loaded trailer and bed! Pretty dang good if ya ask me!
