I've seen a nice-looking 1999 F-250 regular cab V10 with 128,000 miles on it that a used truck dealer wants just under $10,000 for here in PA. It looks really clean, but I haven't seen it in person(yet). It seems a little much for a almost 10 year old pickup, but if it runs good and the service records are kept, you're better paying a little more for a truck in better condition. You can always just make an offer, and see what the seller is willing to take for the truck. The V10s are reliable engines. Good luck in your search.
I have seen v-10s that have lasted 400k on ebay. Now remember that those arent with the same trans from the factory. With prop maintence a well cared for v-10 can last 300-400k
