Looking for advice
I'm new here, so for starters, thanks to everyone for their help. I'm looking at a 2006 F350 4X4 SC SB Lariet FX4 Diesel. It has 37K miles. Any red flags I should look for. This will be my first Ford, and my first diesel.
The other vehicle I'm looking at is an 04 F250 CC Diesel FX4 XLT with 42K miles.

The 06's were better in many ways than the '04. Coil front springs with much better turning radius, bigger brake rotors (and bigger wheels), better interior, fewer 6.0 motor issues. The Lariet interior is very nice.
Well, I've warned you. Now it's up to you.

Now that that BS is out of the way, welcome to FTE. You've already found the best resource, on the net or anywhere else, to learn about Ford trucks.
Get an Oasis report on any truck you are considering. If you are shopping at a Ford dealership they can run one for you and insist that they do so. If not, just get the VIN and post it here at FTE and one of our helpful resident technicians will run it for you. That report will show you all the warranty issues the truck has had to date, and once you have it you can post here for an explanation of anything found on it. If it comes back clean or trivial, they you've found a good truck.
