need help with tire sizes

need help with tire sizes
I just bought some 8.5" wide 15" wheels with 3.5 or 3.75 backspacing, what size tires can i run on my 69 1/2 ton 2wd, stock height. I would like something fairly wide but I don't want to rub. I might buy some spacers for the rear if I need to.

think these trucks came with 8.25/15, a 30-950 would be close

i am running 33X12.5 on my 2wd and i only rub if i hit bumps wile truning, i am not sure about the back spacing though

I am looking for something lower profile like maybe 285 60 or something for a street truck. I have a four wheel drive 71 so I don't need another tall truck.

I've got a 71 & I'm going with 275/60's this summer. Do they make 285/60's? If they do let me know.

in a 15 inch rim i dont think so but in a 16 or 18 yes they do. the 16 is a little less common then the 18 but they are out there
