Guys, I too am curious as to what came with this. I only have this pic because someone asked previously. I have no idea why some have it and others don't. Anyone know?

BTW, I am not sure, but I believe the Rancho stabilizer comes with the stabilizer, or shock looking unit only as a replacement. I could be wrong. You may need to go to the boneyard to install one.

My 99 didn't come with one either. I had to buy the mounting bracket from FORD, and the stabilizer from a local shop.

TchTchr,
I have the same problem with the boot tearing, I replace it about once a year.

Mine does too. That's my third boot that is on there now and it too has small holes in the top. I used washers to space it away from the linkage bar and it has done better but not perfect.

I bought one from fleabay and took it off after three days. Even with the washers I still could not space it out enough. I went to a monroe absorber with lifetime waranty. I could not handle the ripped boot.

My 00 didn't have the stabilizer, but my 01 does. I don't know if this would matter, but my 01 has the off road package, and the 00 didn't. I'm not sure if that would be the difference or not.

Tim, was the monroe a direct replacement for the stock? I have heard of people having fitting problems with the replacement shocks. Did it bolt right to the stock brackets with no problems?

Thanks

My 00 has them but it is an offroad. I don't remember if my 01 had them but it was a regular 4x4. Now those are some really good pictures good job.

The monroe bolted right up for me. It was that dang rancho that had me moving around brackets, adding washers and pulling my hair out. The monroe came with a lifretime warranty, after a year it is already leaking at the seal, noticed it today when I was washing the truck. Time to go down to pepboys to get a replacement.
