This is the thread that I have been looking for. Good information here. I have a question. Is there anything special I need to know to change the trans temp sensor on my 03 PSD? I hate to get the pan off and find I need a special tool or something. Also..... is the pan gasket re-usable?

p.s I just noticed I posted in the wrong forum.. I think the tranny behind the 7.3 is different than the one behind my 6.0

i dont know about the sensor, but the gasket is re usable

Why would you need to change that sensor? Pretty much an idiot guage and practically worthless. Get yourself a real guage.

Well when the sensor goes bad it causes other problems. I don't care about the guage part. The disabled tow/haul function and eratic shifting does kind of bother me.
