engine question

i work at a parts store, and today a guy came in looking for an oil filter and he swore that his 1991 f250 had a v10 in it. i thought they didnt come out until later, like 98ish? was this a rare bird, or did he just not know what he was talkin about? it got me curious and i wanna know now.

ask him if he did the swap... and go chek it out for yourself..maybe its possible to swap an v10 .. but why go to all that trouble? instead of just giong with a 460 wich is more easier for these trucks.. nway chek it out take pics if its real..

i asked. he said it was stock. he also wanted to buy any oil filter to fit a ford truck. my counterman friend would not sell him any filter, insisting there was no listing for that motor in that truck. i chimed in with my tidbit of knowledge, and the guy probably would have fought me to the death about it being a v10.

Maybe he meant a 2001, that would make sense! I think the first years for the V10 was 1999 or 2000.
