What are your favorite shocks for a 4x4 Ford F350. I tow a 30' fifth wheel over some pretty rough highways around Louisiana. Any thing would be better than stock shocks.
Welcome to FTE. Most here seem to prefer Bilstein, but I just got the el cheapo Monroe's with lifetime warranty. I did wait to long before I changed them, buy you are correct about the improvement over stock.
What kind of ride are you looking for? Are you concerned about the rear sagging? If so a set of timbrens or air bags might be beneficial too. I added a set of rear air bags to mine after I noticed the rear springs were sagging some.
I've got a set of Firestone air bags going on this weekend. Figure I'd try them out before changing shocks. Just looking for some "control". Had good luck with Monroe Reflex in the past.Probally go with them again.
Sounds like you'll be running the same set up I have. I kicked myself for waiting so long to change shocks, then kicked myself again for not installing the air bags sooner.
