Good Morning....Well currently I have a 65 Ford F-100 with a 300 inline 6. Its getting old need to change it....I have availible to me a 400 or a 460 from a Lincoln. Is a 400 a big block, it looks pretty big sitting in another truck, but I do not know much about them. Both engines need rebuilt, is the 400 better to rebuild or is the 460 better in your opinion. Thanks for the help......From what the guy told me the 400 was a 400M.

Neither engine will bolt to your tranny you have now with the inline six. You can rebuild either engine and install it if you have a tranny to match. The 400 and the 460 will use the same tranny. If you want to keep your inline six tranny, you will have to find a 289/302/351w/351c.
