You see signs of a slow down already? Try getting some trades in to work on your house.
I think it`ll be a year or two before that happens, seems it`s just gotten started.
No no I dont see any signs of slow. Just a little unsure. Ive had to get a few things done with the plumbing out here, and so far it was no problem at all to get a plumber. Usually any trade doesnt like traveling that far either!
i'm skeptical too, but there are too many investors from further west comming here for there not to be something happening. sad part is, we know nothing of it.
Man, where have you been hiding?
The Alberta money has been flowing into all parts of Sask for the last year, even the small towns are getting their share as well. Hafford, Radisson and most small towns don`t have a house or a lot left for sale in the last 6-8 months....It`s just too wild out there!
What have huge investors brought here? I know that guys are buying houses out here due to them being cheaper then in alberta, but what else? Buying houses by private people I wouldnt consider the same as a huge company coming in to invest.
The oil field has SLIGHTLY picked up in southern sask due to the sask party getting elected in, but thats pretty much the only change Ive seen.
I don`t know about huge investors, it`s too far out of my league but I`m personally aware of offers for farm land that`s zoned for industrial/commercial @ $500,000 a quarter coming in from Alberta. I think this is purely on spec.
I think that at least some of the southern Sask oil fields were planned long before the election with Alberta royalties set to rise and large undeveloped potential possiblities there....
Wow Ive never heard of half a million for a quarter of land, yet. I can see it though. If the land is zoned for industrial or commercial then there is a good chance it might be huge.
Who knows, most of the time it seemed to be far too evasive to really know what was going down or even who was involved other than the real estate agency...
Yeah, have you got any huge offers for that one quarter of land you own that is close to the city? I know its not really in an industrial area out that way, but I can only imagine that residential would be the same.
There have been some low ball offers there at Floral but there seems to be more interest here at home with the commercial/industrial zoned farm land between Cargil and the PCS mine. We have three phase power, city water line, pavement and a rail spur line.
