EGR Cooler ?
Im having the egr delete kit put on my engine while the moter is out for head gaskets(im having the ARP studs added) the mechanic said that the delete plug that goes onto the back of the cooler will not be the best fix. he said that i should have the intake side of the cooler be welded up with a plug or something becouse if the cooler ruptures then the antifreeze will go into the intake and hydrolock the moter. he said that the egr valve will not seal good enough to keep it from leaking(15 psi on the cooling system if a leak did accure.
So with all that said what is the material is the cooler made of. I have a friend that is going to weld a plug on the flanged side. almost seems like stainless. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
