Question power window was froze!

I made a huge mistake the other day, when it was really cold out I hit my window to roll down, like when you do the quick hit and it contiues to roll down without holding the switch, well it wouldnt stop and ripped the window lose from its track!, why wouldnt it stop when it wouldnt go down, I figured it would have some relay or something to make it stop, has anyone else delt with this? 1999 Expy

This happens. The dealer will just glue it back in.

mine actually ripped away the mounting tabs x2, that the window mounts in to the trackframe, the glue tabs were still in place! I had to buy a whole new window!

you should not have had to buy a whole new window. all that needed to be done was scrape the glue off of the window and put some new adheasive on and let set for a few hours.
