block identification

I am trying to find out what year the motor block in my 1979 f150 custom is.the numbers under the starter are B4DE-6015-AA.thanks

are you sure the first character is a "B"? D4DE-6015-AA would make it a 302 I believe.

D4DE would relate to an 1974 engine block casting number

if it is in fact D4DE-AA that would mean it wass engineered for a 74 Ford maverick ...
