My son is looking for a cargo type trailer to use in his car detailing business.I don't know much about trailers and am wondering what a good brand is.He so far likes Haulmark for quality. He thinks he wants about a 6'X12' .Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
I've been hauling around a 6x10 with my hot air balloon now for about 15 years. I know Haulmark is a quality trailer, my neighbor has one, but for my money, Wells Cargo. I've owned two Wells Cargo and between them a Doolittle. There are a number of brands out there, Pace (often sold at Home Depot) and others. Many are just copycats.
I'd say either Haulmark or Wells Cargo. It may come down to which has the options he wants - single or tandem axle, double or drop down ramp rear door(s), side entry door, full plywood paneling inside, flow thru vents, tie downs, E-track, and so on.
I can't speak for Haulmark but I know Wells Cargo actually builds in 3 budget levels. I'm currently using their mid-level trailer called Road Force. Wells Cargo is top of the line and I forget the economy model. You may therefore find more budget flexibility with WC but again, I don't know about Haulmark. Additionally WC has plants located in TX. UT, AZ, GA and PA.
Thanks for the suggestions. After looking around we bought a Haulmark 6X12.Very happy with the quality and price. The dealer was very helpful and is within 45 minutes from home.
