got a really bad vibration comming from the shifter on my 91 f250 4x4 5-speed. its fine around town but on the highway forget it its sooooooo annoying. any help would be great!!!
ok, found the problem....the yoke nut is sheered off and the yoke is slipping of the end of the transfer case....what case is in this truck ya think???
Is it a light duty or heavy duty truck? It's probly got a BW 1356 transfer case...unless they kept running the 208's into those years...should be a tag on the T-case on the back...if it's round with blue righting it's a NP...luck
Yea most likely is a 1356....don't rule out a bad tranny mount either.....just cause it ain't slingin back and forth from one side of the cab to the other don't mean it ain't bad....
The only difference between the two are auto locking hubs..and the electric motor that shifts the xcase from 2wd to 4wd(pushbutton on the dash)The U joints n such should be the same.
