Smile new to fords, need suggestions

hi, i'm new to ford's, and have just aquired a 94 f150 5.8 swb 2wd, 51,000 miles. it runs good, but we all know it will run better. here is what i'm doing: powertrax lock-right with stock 3.55, changing all fluids, adding 2 bigger trans coolers, mustang adjustable fuel pressure regulator, air intake kit, electric fan conversion, underdrive pulley set, AIR delete, msd coil, full tune up. exhaust is next in line, along with some new tires. what is my next move with speed density system? i don't want to convert ($$$) i've already spent enough money. should i run LT or shorty headers? does anyone offer an off road y-pipe for the 5.8? what heads/intake system will work with SD? also, will 1.7 rockers work? if so, which ones are better to get? i plan on leaving the stock cam in. i do no hauling, or towing, just street. thanks in advance.

ok, already answerd one of my own questions, i don't need a fuel pressure increase on batch fire injection. i guess it might help on a MAF conversion, especially from a 5.0 ecm.

Jon, looking at your heading , what is your other car? My son has a 87GTA, original. Might exchange some info there too.

i've always been a big gm nut. had a 87 T/A hard top 5.7tpi A4, 93 formy hard top lt1 A4, 99 T/A ttop LS1 M6-heads, intake, rockers, lt headers, full exhaust, etc. (i miss that one!), 02 T/A ttop LS1 A4. i've inherited this truck, just wanting to work on it some. i currrently don't have any other cool cars, currently looking for a firehawk, or clean gta (anything but black).

Well, we won't hold that against you. (Well, not too much at least... )

Welcome to FTE.

Regarding the orig Qs, everything sounds good pretty much. Conventional thought here is LTs over shortys which will necessitate a fabbed crossover.

Heads? work over the stock ones first. 1.7s, fine whatever you're comfortable spending.

Intake? Not just yet till you max out other areas.

good luck.

PS, Indians & Olds are my the GMs that intrest me the most
