My in-laws just shake their head at me and call me a redneck...
They call you a redneck until they break down or get stuck somewhere and need a tow, or until they need something FIXED! The highbrow love to call us names until they need us for something.
Great video! I can't wait until I get the chance to pull something apart.
Straight pipe 4'' all the way, No muffler.
We are adding 1600 square feet to our home and this little add on was in the way. If not for the grass it would have been a lot easier. The tires were already loaded with mud so I was almost on slicks. They do clean out quick if you get the rpm's up. Glad you guys enjoyed it, I was happy it fell just right. I then picked it all up with the excavator and loaded in the dumpster. Piece of cake.
Sounds nice doesn't it?! That was only around 1800rpm, you should hear it up around 2400-2500, it's really awesome. I got a lot of neighbors around shortly after I did this. I totally forgot to post the pictures of my tires and rims for you Scott, but I guess you've seen them now. Miner rubbing at full lock inside plastic fyi. Of course you have the lift though, mines just got a level kit.
Nice truck, sounds great, i was waiting for the rooster tail's but you did it right, using the weight of the truck. These truck's are a horse. Next time a little rooster tail maybe!!!
Wish my truck whisled like that.....quick question. I have a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. If I removed the muffler (and insert pipe section) does that equate to a straight pipe and will get that sound?
Yes, you should get that sound, sort of. I have the Wicked Wheel and that is where the sound really comes from. Other than that we are running similar set ups so it should be the same. Uncork that thing!!

Abso-frickin-lutely! I Like your thought process on this!

I just watched that video again, this time at home on a computer with better speakers. My truck sounds exactly like yours, I have a '99 with early turbo and stock wicked wheel and 4" exhaust. That "fluttering" high pitch sound is definitely WW enduced.
