a freind of mine was looking at an 98 f-350 7.3 manual trans with a bad transfer case was wondering if you guys know what type of transfer case is in it,if one out of a diff truck would work (like a v10) and a place to find one any info will be greatly appreciated.

 

I would be absolutely stunned to find out that the transfer cases were different. I think all the 7.3's, V10's and 5.4's use the same transfer case. Someone in the know will chime in here soon.

 

yea i am sure thats is right. the numbers i may be off tho. i think the ESOF is the NV273 and the manual is a.....actually im too bad with numbers to try to remeber. but i know that is the only differencer between the motors. as long as both are ESOF or manual shift then they will swap fine
