Radius arm bushing - passenger side
I own a reg cab 96 4x4 F150 w/5.0

Expect this has been asked before – but I am new to this forum.

BLUF – (bottom line up front) the exhaust burns this bushing up!
(Seems the engineers could have done a better job than that re the placment) but any way
<o

Could replace it but would just burn it up again – I expect.

Have wanted to put a lift-kit on the truck – (4 inch suspension)

Believe this would move the Radius arm bushing back far enough along the frame rail solving the problem.

Right or wrong?

Anyone made this fix or know someone who has? Did it work out?

What is the best suspension kit to buy to accomplish this?

not sure what's up or why all that junk is in the original msg
but what about a lift kit - wouldnt that fix the problem?
want one anyway...
do not want to install one just to have/find the same frustrating problem re-occur

Poly bushings or make a heat sheild for your cat.
////
Rancho, ProComp and BDS are the top for these trucks. They are all the same execpt for the shocks and coils.
Skyjacker softride coils and Nitro shocks are the best.
I have a rough country and its a pretty crappy ride, cant figure out a good shock that will last. The bolts keep comming loose

Use aircraft nuts. Essentially it's a nut with rounded crown with a nylon ring inserted, which locks the nut in place once torqued down.

use poly bushings, they will be just fine.
if you are so worried, get a piece of metal to shield the bushing.
