mid row seating

I have a 2004 limited with perfect tan leather captains chairs. I would like to replace them with a bench seat. If anyone has a bench and would like captains instead that would be great, please let me know. Or if you know where I can purchase on let me know also.

All you guys who responded; it is very helpful in threads like these if you would update your profile and put where you live in it! That way it will show up on the screen. The original poster should probably look to the guy who is closest and necessarily the one who responded first.

I guess you meant "not necessarily the one who responded first"?

But, why do you feel this way?

Well it looks as though my seat deal fell thru. Both were limited Excursions but one a 2001 and one a 2004. The seats were sewn with a different pattern.
So I am back to looking for a Bench Seat to trade my 04 Med Parchment captains chairs for. I am from the St Louis area and can provide pictures if interested.

Just a quick question. Are these easy swaps to do? I am looking to buy an Ex, and the wife wants captains.

Good catch. Yes, you're right.

The swap is a big one (not complicated but still...) and would be better if it could be done in person. You certainly wouldn't want to pull out your seats and ship them just to find out that the other guy changed his mind midstream.

If I responded first do you think he should have waited for me to follow through.

What exactly is involved in the swap? Has anyone posted the procedure here?

I guess it really is a hard question to answer. It's not really fair when John Doe speaks up first simply because he was on the Internet when the topic was posted. While others that may have been interested were at work without Internet access.

Personally I keep the center armrest and cup holders folded down in my rear bench seat, and I like it better than the captain's chairs.

Yep....we were going to trade, but Thump was more observent than I! I am now also looking for Captains Chairs for my middle row. Mine has the pleated seats....photos to follow later tonight.....

I am in Northern Illinois and would be interested in trading with someone where we can drive and meet to do the swap.....
