2004 f-350 5.4l. ex. cab.. 8 ft. bed..
can i swap out a poineer 6 cd chacnger from another ford truck,, or ford explorer . and put it in my f-350 that currently has a standard single cd changer,, without changing any of the hard ware in the dash? polarisman

Yes and no. You may need to modify the mounts depending on what kind of donor vehicle it comes from. It has to be the same size, the '05 and up super duty trucks changed to a larger radio (full double din) vs. the '04 and earlier.
There have been several guys here who have swapped out the radios for ones from other ford models, but you also have to make sure it has the same wiring harness or you will need to change it.
Others here have had more experience with the '04 and previous and I'm sure will chime in soon.
