wiper switch question

Hey. I have a 84 f150 that has 2 speed wipers. I see that intermitant wipers were a option, or at least Oreilly's list 2 different switches. Are they interchangable where I can just buy the other switch and plug in or more to it? Thanks.

Yes you do need to get the intermittent switch, and also the control module that delays the current to the wiper motor. The control module plugs into the factory wire harness that your current switch is plugged into, and the intermittent switch plugs into the control module. The switch has a ground wire that needs to be screwed into the dash somewhere and the control module gets tucked under the dash.

Check other forums as there are tons on this subject. Also look on ebay or somewhere because the control module isnt the cheapest thing to buy new.

The switch and module are plug and play. I have several of them.
