I found a set of cheap brand new .030 pistons for a 400 (owner sold his 400 for a 460 and is getting rid of them for cheap). I plan on boring my block and getting a 400 crank to turn my motor into a 408. Has anybody heard of Sealed Power pistons? I looked at them on their web site but I was wondering if anybody here had an opinion on them. Also, does this company just make them in a flat top piston? I asked the owner about them but he didn't really answer my question the way I ment it to be.
I'm plopping some Sealed Power 0.30 oversize forged pistons in my 400 as we speak. Slight dish to them; I figure about 9.3ish:1 compression with Aussie heads.
Sealed Power is a brand of Federal Mogul - one of the only companies still making a OEM replacement for the 400. I think the OEM profile is the only one made by them any longer. The forged pistons have been discontinued for a few years.

Yea I thought I noticed that they were a brand of Federal Mogul or something. Do you have to do anything to your rods, etc or did you just pretty much bore and install? I am also planning on having my heads milled down a little bit when I get the block bored. It depends if it would need valve work then or not.
