Radiator Leaking Question

For the few of you mainly with Job 1's that have had bad radiators that leak, can you let me know how you found the problem? Was it a significant leak where you could see a puddle on the ground? Was it coming from where the rubber lines attach to the radiator or a hole in the radiator? I have a job 1 with only 1300 trouble free miles so far and I just want to make sure I know what to expect or what to look for should I have a problem which I don't anticipate.

Thanks

Puddle on the floor. Some days it was one or two drops and other days it would be maybe a cup or so. Problem was with the crimping of the radiator and not the rubber lines. Had it fixed in December and have not had any other problems with the truck.

I also noticed it by a few spots on the ground and it was dripping off of the front frame on the drivers side. My dealer replaced the radiator and I have been good since. I took about 5,000 miles on my truck before it started leaking.

The water was leaking on the Drivers side of the truck down the side of the radiator. As CAxe pointed out, it was a crimping issue on the side of the tank. My guages did not show any signs of the radiator being empty, so what your over flow tank.
Mine went out at 15K a couple of months ago, then again at 20K a couple of weeks ago. I'm on my third radiator.

Mine was lower passenger side very slow leak at first, just a drip here and there, was real busy so just kind of ignored it until I had time to get it in to the dealer.
Then it went all at once in a big way. If you see a drip or wet area get it in to the dealer asap.

I smelled the leak for a week before I noticed the drip. Drivers side, halfway down the side of the tank.

Mine was also a slow drip on the passenger side, it never showed any signs of overheating or anything.

I just discovered mine was leaking last night. It is a few drops on the driveway and coming from the drivers side. I have 6113 miles on my F-250 SD 4x4.. Guess I need to take it in Monday morning..

Another leak

I have a job #1 truck. Got 25k miles on it. I was under the truck a little while ago to see how to adjust the angle of the fog lights and found evidence of a radiator leak. There was a drop forming on the bottom edge of the radiator on the driver's side. It appears to have been leaking for a while as there is drainage residue on the frame and on the radiator itself. I wondered why I had to add fluid to the coolant tank but didn't see any problems like puddles on the drive way, etc. . . . .

Sure it wasn't from the a/c unit? Hope so but if not get it warrantied and fit the venturi tee kit

Dealership replaced the radiator today. (rather quickly) Service writer told me they stock the replacement units as this was a common problem on the initial Job#1 trucks. Forgot to ask about the T-connector, but I'll take a look when I get there to pick it up.

Mine never did leave a puddle under the truck. I just noticed the heater stopped blowing hot air one night (happened last winter with 18,000 miles) and the only sign was low coolant of course and a white powder type residue on the top of the radiator on the driver side.
