Cab Swap standard to ext.
I just acquired a 77 highboy, but the cab is some iffy condition. The heater box has been ripped out, and the cab mounts are made out of road signs. But I just got my hands on a 78 extended cab. Mine being a standard cab, I am wondering what I could have to do to mount this cab to my frame.

The cab swap'll be easy enough. Moving the rear cab mount member isn't difficult. Grind off the rivets. Move it. Drill new holes. Bolt it back on. Highboys had a different frame width @ rear didn't they?

Yeah highboys have a different frame dimensions behind the cab. IIRC the rear cab mounts on a highboy are on the outside of the frame rails whereas the 78 and newer use the crossmember set up
