That's funny,I just got back from the second day of being in a jury pool.Started with a group of about 80.When it got whittled down to the last 15 candidates, beside the already seated 12 jurors and 6 alternates, they were still choosing and tossing out potential alternates.Yours truly was called into the box and questioned as a possible alternate. It would have been a real financial hardship, since the trial was going to last 3-4 weeks.I would not have paid my mortgage or other bills.I explained this, and was excused by the defense weasels,er,I mean attorneys.Uh,really,no bias here, only gratitude.Seriously,I really wish my finances would have allowed me to accept the honor .It's going to be a very interesting trial.Steve.

Last time I was on jury duty. The judge said to us the quicker you decide the case the quicker you can go home and have lunch. The look on the people's faces were priceless. Especially when we came out 5 minutes later with a decision LOL. Last time I got picked I couldn't go because of my job, but when I did go it was somewhat fun. I don't think I would want to be on a case that lasted 4 weeks though.

I just tell em that I'm prejudice against anyone that aint me, and they tell me to go home.
Naw, just kidding.
Actually, I'm looking forward to sitting on a jury. In my little county, you would think the odds would be pretty good, as there aren't very many people to choose from, but it seems that most trials around here get settled before it goes to jury. Oh well, I'm still waiting for my moment in the spotlight.
I think it is a great thing, to experience our American justice system working. The best in the world. Though unfortunately sometimes buttheads get off by abusing it.
Not while I'm on the jury though. He he he.
