66 vin question

66 vin question
I can't find a sight to tell me the original make up of this truck. The fellow I bought it from thought it had a 400, but the firing order is not correct for M blocks. the only number I've found is F10AL844348. Any help would be great.

A 352 was the only V8 offered in 66, so if it has a 400 or any other V8, it was added later.

400 = 8 valve cover bolts. No 400's in F100/350's till 1977.
"Original" make up: F10AL844348 = This is your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), what the vehicle is registered with.
F10 = F100 2WD / A = 240 1V I-6 / L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant / 844348 = 1966.
429/460 = 7 valve cover bolts.
302/351W = 6 valve cover bolts.
352/360/390 = 5 valve cover bolts.
