I can't find a sight to tell me the original make up of this truck. The fellow I bought it from thought it had a 400, but the firing order is not correct for M blocks. the only number I've found is F10AL844348. Any help would be great.

400 = 8 valve cover bolts. No 400's in F100/350's till 1977.
"Original" make up: F10AL844348 = This is your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), what the vehicle is registered with.
